Limelight: Germantown is getting a new restaurant in the former Farm & Fries spot
A new restaurant is going in the building that was originally Farm & Fries in Germantown.
Limelight will be located at 7724 Poplar Pike, across the street from Germantown High School.
The full-service restaurant will feature a craft-cocktail forward bar menu, a comprehensive wine list and a menu that will change seasonally.
The new concept is from the owners of Pyro's, Abner's and Wolf Brisket Co.
"The building was so great, we knew we needed to figure out something to go there," said Kirk Cotham, who owns Wolf River Hospitality Group with Chad Foreman.
"Because of the size of the kitchen, the menu won't be as extensive as what we offer at Wolf River Brisket Co. But the pared down menu won't be as static either. It will change periodically, we will use seasonal ingredients when we can."
Cotham said they are doing some minor renovations to the restaurant to make it better fit their concept. A bar is being added, and the open kitchen will be enclosed.

Cotham said the target opening date is this summer.
Farm & Fries did not reopen after the pandemic closures of March 2020. The Germantown burger shop was known for gourmet burgers made with grass-fed beef, as well as its hand-cut fries.
The building in Old Germantown on Poplar Pike was sold by Farm & Fries owner Mark Waugh to Wolf River Hospitality Group in 2021.
