Lincoln hospital honors Oesterlein
Lincoln Memorial Hospital has named Anett Oesterlein, of Pekin, as the June Colleague of the Month.
Oesterlein, a medical lab technician, was nominated by Karla Russell who works in the Emergency Department, who praised her for her attention to detail.
“Patient safety is 100%, hands-down, the top priority for Anett in her work,” said Russell.
“Anett strictly follows policies for lab draws, identifying her patient before she does any ‘sticking’ and labeling her labs in front of the patient.”

Oesterlein has worked at Lincoln Memorial Hospital since 2015.
Outside of work, she enjoys reading, watching documentaries, being outside with her husband and two basset hounds and spending lots of time on the telephone visiting with her family in Germany.
