Lindsey Buckingham Says Fleetwood Mac Lawsuit Over Firing Has Been Settled

Buckingham sued his former bandmates earlier this year

In an interview with Anthony Mason that aired yesterday on “CBS This Morning Saturday,” Lindsey Buckingham said that he and Fleetwood Mac have settled the recent lawsuit over his firing from the band. Buckingham said the members of the band signed off on a settlement in the past couple weeks, but didn’t disclose any details about the settlement. “I’m happy enough with it,” Buckingham said. Pitchfork has reached out to Buckingham and Fleetwood Mac’s representatives for further comment.

Buckingham sued the band in October. In the lawsuit, he saie he was told by the band’s manager Irving Azoff that Fleetwood Mac “would proceed with its upcoming and already organized 2018 to 2019 concert tour without him,” and that “not a single member of the band” spoke to him directly about the decision. In his interview with Mason, he went into detail about the breakup and his relationship with his former bandmates.
