Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) was loudly booed by the crowd at Donald Trump’s South Carolina GOP primary victory party Saturday night.

Trump was instantly declared the projected winner of South Carolina’s Republican primary as soon as polls closed by multiple news outlets, beating out the state’s former governor, Nikki Haley.

“He happens to be a little bit further left than some of the people on this stage. But I always say when I’m in trouble on the left, I call up Lindsey Graham, and he straightens it out so fast,” Trump told the crowd, while introducing the people on stage with him for his victory speech.

“No, no, no, no,” Trump said as the crowd began to loudly boo the state’s Republican U.S. senator. Some shouts of “traitor” were also audible.

“I love him. He’s a good man,” the former president insisted to his supporters, who continued to jeer as Trump asked Graham to come to the podium to say a few words.
