Pastor Jason Lindsey of Love Never Fails United Christian Church was the guest speaker at the Nov. 17 Orange County Leadership program meeting at Boston International in French Lick.

A former graduate of the program, Lindsey spoke about things he learned during his time in the program, such as surrounding himself with good people and learning to delegate responsibility to others.

Lindsey talked about his own path to God and also discussed many of the programs offered through Love Never Fails, such as Safe Place, addiction programs and kids programs.

When one of the adult students asked him about burnout, noting his own experiences, Lindsey said that he has never hit burnout since the church started in 2016. He noted that he has many people who are dedicated to certain outreach programs, and they handle those on their own, with him just overseeing.

For example, Lindsey noted that he doesn't touch the food program, which actually only has one congregation member, with the rest of the cooks and drivers volunteers. He said one of his associates, Pastor Nate Daniels, preaches every other Sunday, giving him time to sit with the congregation and listen.

Lindsey said he learned from authoritarian pastors to not handle everything himself. He said, "As a leader, you cannot do it all. Find communities and work together. Everyone has a personal leadership."
