Lineup announced for 5th annual Jerk and Curry Music Festival at Francis Field

The Jerk and Curry Music Festival is returning to town this month.

The fifth annual event features Caribbean food and some top reggae musicians from 2 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at Francis Field, 25 West Castillo Drive in St. Augustine.

General admission tickets to the festival are $20 in advance or $35 at Francis Field. Tickets are available on eventbrite.com.

Headlining the festival will be reggae veterans Inner Circle, a Grammy Award-winning band based in South Florida. The group formed by brothers Ian Lewis and Roger Lewis is famous for the “Bad Boys” movie theme song and “Sweat.” 

Inner Circle has been around for more than 50 years, getting its start in 1968 in Kingston, Jamaica. Members include the Lewis brothers along with Bernard "Touter" Harvey, Lancelot Hall, Trevor "Skatta" Bonnick and Andre Philips.

The band received a 1993 Grammy for Best Reggae Album by Duo or Group for “Bad Boys.” The most recent album is “State of Da World” in 2009.

Other artists scheduled to perform include Anthony B, Grammy-nominated reggae legend Pato Banton and Jamaican singer Everton Blender.
