Inter Miami CF soccer star Lionel Messi has purchased a waterfront home in the exclusive community of Bay Colony in Fort Lauderdale.

The sale was finalized Sept. 1 with a deed filed Monday in Broward County official records. The purchaser is listed as the Florida limited liability company Sadani, whose manager is Alfosno Nebot Armisen, a wealth manager and member of the Leo Messi foundation.

Messi had been looking in southern Palm Beach County and Broward County for a house that would give his family a home outside the extreme celebrity fanfare of Miami. Messi and his wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, have three young sons born between 2012 and 2018.

The deed filed Monday shows a sale price of $10.75 million. Bay Colony, a gated community in east Fort Lauderdale, is about 5 miles from DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, where Inter Miami CF is based.
