Apple TV+ has released the first trailer for Messi Meets America, a six-part documentary series focusing on the Argentinian footballer's move to Inter Miami FC.

The trailer shows us some of the highlights from his time at Inter Miami so far, which include an incredible last-minute winning goal in his very first match.

We see the club's owner David Beckham describe Messi as one of the greatest players of all time, while Messi himself is shown saying, "My happiness has always been playing football and now I can continue doing that here."

Messi Meets America, which "takes viewers behind-the-scenes as the greatest player to ever step on the pitch leads his new team to a Leagues Cup title and beyond," premieres on October 11.

Meanwhile, David Beckham is the subject of his own documentary, one that premieres on Netflix tomorrow (October 4).

Beckham "tells the inside story of a global football star and cultural icon", and will detail his "humble working-class beginnings in east London, his drive and determination to win and the battle to find balance between ambition, love and family".

One subject that will be touched upon is the famous red card Beckham received for kicking out at Argentina's Diego Simeone at the 1998 World Cup.

"I don't think I've talked about it, just because I can't," Beckham says in the trailer when discussing the subsequent backlash against him. "I wasn't eating, I wasn't sleeping. It took a toll on me. I never even knew myself."
