Lion's Mouth Bookstore in downtown Green Bay to host series on mental health. Here's what you need to know

GREEN BAY - A new series on topics of mental health kicks off Saturday at the Lion's Mouth Bookstore in downtown Green Bay.

The independent bookstore's first panel and discussion will focus on body image issues and the connection to social media. The series will be moderated by award-winning Press-Gazette reporter Natalie Eilbert.

Dr. Ryan Martin

Ryan Martin is a professor psychology and associate dean for the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. He researches and writes about health and unhealthy expressions of anger. He has written "How to Deal with Angry People" and "Why We Get Mad: How to Use Your Anger for Positive Change." He also hosts the podcast "Psychology and Stuff."

Dr. Richa Aggarwal

Richa Aggarwal is a board-certified psychiatrist who provides care to children, adolescents and adults at the Rogers Behavioral Health outpatient clinic in Appleton. She received her medical degree from the Government Medical College in Amritsar, India, and completed her residency in psychiatry at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Aggarwal has published studies on bipolar disorder, autism spectrum disorders, anorexia nervosa and suicidal ideations.

Natalie Eilbert

Eilbert, of the Green Bay Press-Gazette, is the statewide mental health reporter for the USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin. She received a first place in investigative reporting from the Wisconsin Newspaper Association for her coverage of a state legislator who was referred for felony child abuse charges but never charged. She has a journalism degree from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.

Lion's Mouth Bookstore

The event, State of Mind Series: Social Media & Self-Image, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the bookstore, 211 N. Washington St., Green Bay.

The bookstore plans to cover other mental health topics in future events, saying "our goal for this series is to provide a space for our community to learn, find support and connection."
