He has 34 offers, including Vanderbilt, Oregon, Auburn, Michigan and Notre Dame. Spillman spent two straight weekends on visits. He traveled to Athens, Georgia, to visit with the two-time defending CFP national champion Bulldogs March 25. He was in Birmingham, the weekend of April 1, to meet with his former Lipscomb Academy coach, Trent Dilfer, who is coaching UAB.

Spillman's Lipscomb Academy teammate and fellow linebacker, Bryan Longwell, committed to Vanderbilt in January. The duo helped Lipscomb capture its second straight Division II-AA state championship, beating CPA, 42-0.

Lipscomb Academy hired former Tennessee Titans center Kevin Mawae in January to replace Dilfer.

Spillman's older brother, Nate is a three-star senior receiver at Lipscomb Academy who signed with Tennessee in December and younger brother, Bennett, is a freshman defensive tackle at Franklin.
