Lipscomb Academy freshman Chauncey Gooden's first 5 offers include Tennessee football, Vanderbilt

Lipscomb Academy football freshman Chauncey Gooden — a 6-foot-4, 320-pound two-way lineman — has already gotten attention from college football coaches.

Gooden, a nose guard and offensive guard, released his first five offers on Twitter Tuesday.

The list includes three SEC programs in Arkansas, Tennessee and Vanderbilt as well as Charlotte and Tennessee State.

Gooden's junior teammate Nate Spillman, a three-star receiver, is a Tennessee commitment for the Class of 2023.

During the Mustangs' run to the Division II-AA title, Gooden spent most of his time blocking for Cincinnati signee Luther Richesson and Boston College signee Alex Broome.

Gooden recorded 4.5 tackles and a sack in the DII-AA championship game against CPA.

The Lipscomb Academy roster is full of college football recruits. Brandon Solis, an offensive tackle, is the No. 30 prospect in Tennessee for the Class of 2023. Spillman is the No. 36 prospect. And Kaleb Beasley and Edwin Spillman — Nate's younger brother — are the top two college prospects in Tennessee for the Class of 2024.
