Here’s a list of Mississippi Coast restaurants & casino buffets open on Thanksgiving

South Mississippi restaurants are putting on quite the spread for Thanksgiving, from turkey to pumpkin pie, so those who don’t want to cook can can make reservations instead.

South Mississippi chefs put their own flair on the holiday with gumbo as a starter and Gulf shrimp and oysters adding to the flavors.

Reservations are suggested, except at the buffets.

Local restaurants open

Boogie’s Grill and Chill at 2650 Beach Blvd., Biloxi is a veteran-owned business open 365 days a year. On the menu for Thanksgiving is football and a Thanksgiving Day spread, along with the regular menu.

Cora’s Restaurant at White House Hotel, Biloxi, has a Thanksgiving buffet from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Holiday favorites and new dishes will be featured, such as a cajun smoked turkey and beef brisket carving station, cornbread dressing, Louisiana sweet potato pone and more. 228-233-1230

Kingjaks restaurant at 1785 Beach Blvd. in Biloxi,will be serving free meals on Thanksgiving Day to anyone in need — military, first responders and those who want somewhere to go. Serving 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Donations will be accepted and Family For A Day T-shirts sold to help purchase Christmas gifts for local children of the community in need.

Margaritaville Resort Biloxi will have restaurants open on Thanksgiving for those staying at the hotel and those who want some fun playing video games at Escape before or after they eat Doe’s Eat Place will have a special feature of the day.

Saltgrass Steak House in Biloxi is open from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Thanksgiving Day. Customers can and relax over the special turkey platter or a juicy steak or shrimp to break from tradition.

Sapphire Supper Club at Hotel Legends in downtown Biloxi will be open for Thanksgiving dinner, with a special feature of the day.

White Pillars, Biloxi is open from 2-6 p.m. Three-course dinner is for $60 per person, with appetizer like turkey and sausage gumbo or crab avocado toast. Among the entrees are chicken fried turkey and pan seared Gulf fish. For dessert are a choice of flourless chocolate torte with peppermint ice cream, apple gellete with caramel sauce or roast spice pumpkin pot de creme. Vegetarian dishes are available upon request. Casino Thanksgiving meals

Beau Rivage Resort & Casino has turkey specials plus the regular menus at restaurants throughout the resort:

BR Prime has turkey with sides for $48, with add-ons like coconut pumpkin curry soup and a bourbon sweet potato tart. Hours are 5-9:30 p.m. and reservations are required.

Salt & Ivy is open from 11 a.m.–11 p.m. and is featuring a turkey platter for $30.

BetMGM Book Bar & Grill will be a popular spot to watch the games and is open from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. A turkey feast is $28.

The Buffet has a special holiday menu of turkey, prime rib and trimmings. Brunch is from 8-10 a.m.

The Buffet hours are brunch from 8-10 a.m., for $29.99 for adults, $19.99 for children and kids under 5 free. Dinner 10 a.m. -9:30 p.m. and is $42.99 for adults and $26.99 for children, with kids under 5 free.

Snacks has turkey dinner for $12 plus butternut squash bisque or maple bourbon cheesecake for an additional $10 each.

Hard Rock Casino BiloxiHard Rock Thanksgiving Buffet is from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. The cost is $32.99, or add three clusters of snow crab legs for $19.99.

Hard Rock Cafe will serve a Thanksgiving meal along with pumpkin or sweet potato pie, along with the regular menu for those who prefer a burger and fries.

Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse and other restaurants at Hard Rock also will be open on Thanksgiving.

IP Casino BiloxiBayview Café presents a traditional turkey dinner for $27 per person. The special includes herb and winter citrus roasted turkey with gravy plus sage and andouille dressing, green bean casserole, brown sugar glazed sweet potatoes and a slice of bourbon pecan pie for dessert.

Thirty-two atop IP Casino will offer duck and oyster gumbo, speckled trout amandine with braised collard greens, sauteed shrimp and white bean puree or roasted “Turducken” galantine with cornbread pudding, haricot verts and wild mushrooms. For dessert is apple Charlotte.

Island View Casino in Gulfport will have restaurants open and with holiday specials and the regular menu:

The Buffet will have carved turkey and traditional sides, along with Gulf shrimp, barbecued ribs and Southern specialties for $27.99 on Thanksgiving. It will be open from 11 a.m.-10 p.m.

C&G Grille has a $25 Thanksgiving special, with a choice of seafood gumbo or other starter, turkey dinner or beef tenderloin and dessert. The restaurant is open from 10:30 a.m.-9 p.m.

Dockside Deli also has a $25 Thanksgiving special from 11 a.m.-9 p.m., with appetizer, entree and either pumpkin or pecan pie for dessert.

Carter Green Steakhouse and Prime Cut are open from 5-10 p.m. and both have a $45 feast that includes a starter, entree and dessert.

Beach Blvd Steamer and The Diner will be open and serving their regular menus. Customers must be 21 or older to enter Island View and its restaurants.

Palace Casino Biloxi — Mignon’s Steaks & Seafood will be open from noon-6 p.m., featuring a three course gourmet dinner for $45 per person for dine in only. It features favorites like fall salad or Gulf corn and crab bisque, plus Derby pie for dessert. Reservations: 228-432-8888 or opentable.com

Palace Buffet is open from 11 a.m.-9 p.m., with turkey, ham, prime rib, shrimp and all the other holiday and everyday dishes. The cost is $35, or $33 with a players card, and $25 for children ages 3-12.

Silver Slipper Casino in Hancock County has choices for Thanksgiving meals, for ages 21 and older. Jubilee Buffet is open from 11 a.m.-9 p.m., and crab legs and jumbo shrimp are among the dishes. The cost is $49.95.

Blue Bayou Bar & Grill at Silver Slipper features a $42 dinner with salad, honey-glazed turkey, cornbread dressing, roasted yams with pecan streusel plus green bean amondine. The $52 menu includes prime rib, shrimp and mirliton casserole, garlic mashed potatoes and green beans. The restaurant is open from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Reservations: 228-469-2777, ext. 2870.

Treasure Bay Casino in Biloxi has snow and dungeness crab legs on the Infinity Buffet for lunch and dinner every day. Since Thanksgiving is on Thursday, whole lobsters are included in the price, along with sides, salads and pies. The buffet without crab is $14.49 for lunch and $25.49 for dinner The crab buffet is $47.00 for lunch and dinner, with discounts applied for loyalty card holders, military and seniors. Customers must be 21 or older.

Help with dinner

Greenhouse Biloxi is making buttermilk, bacon cheddar, sweet potato, gluten-free biscuits and their new biscuit mix, along with coffee syrups, biscuit dressing, savory biscuit break pudding, quiche and other helps. For dessert, take home pumpkin pie, bourbon chocolate chess pie or peanut butter pie. Order by Nov. 18 to pickup Nov. 21 and 22.

Rouses Markets has the ingredients for a Thanksgiving dinner, starting with turkey, goose, capon, duck and their famous turduchens. They’ll also cater dinner, providing turkey or ham plus sides like cornbread dressing, gravy and sweet potato casserole to just heat and eat. Order ahead for the full meals or they’ll have side dishes and desserts ready to go at the supermarkets.

Savory Roots in Pass Christian is taking orders until Friday, Nov. 17, for a complete Thanksgiving dinner from turkey to pumpkin pie for $185, or order a la carte to get sides like roasted garlic mashed potatoes and gravy or braised collard greens. For dessert are key lime pie or other choice.

Winn-Dixie brings back the $30 Thanksgiving meal deal, available the through Nov. 22. Dinner includes a 15-pound or less frozen Butterball turkey and SE Grocers sides, including stuffing mix, yams cut sweet potatoes,vegetables, cranberry sauce, brown and serve rolls plus an 8-inch pumpkin pie from the bakery. Look for the meal display near the meat department or ask for help.
