List names best Mexican restaurant in every New England state

A list has crowned the best Mexican restaurants in New England and in all 50 states.

Taste of Home recently compiled a list of the top Mexican eateries across the country and Rincon Mexicano was named the best restaurant in Massachusetts.

Rincon Mexicano is located at 99 Broadway in Somerville.

In its review of the restaurant, Taste of Home wrote, “Rincon serves up some of the best traditional Mexican cuisine in the Boston area. It comes to no surprise, though, because Chef Lorenzo has studied and mastered the art of Mexican cooking for the past 25 years before opening up his family-owned restaurant.”

The best Mexican restaurant in the other New England states were as follows:

  • Maine: Taco Escobar in Portland

  • New Hampshire: Revolution Cantina, Claremont (Reports indicate restaurant has closed)*

  • Vermont: El Cortijo, Burlington

  • Rhode Island: Tallulah’s Taqueria, Providence

  • Connecticut: Rincon Taqueria, Norwalk
