A list of Wichita restaurants offering free, discounted meals on Veterans Day 2023
Veterans Day is on Saturday, and it’s time for veterans and the people who dine with them to begin mapping out how to best collect on the many free thank-you meals and deals being offered at Wichita restaurants.
Here’s a list of specials. Keep in mind that all the specials require a military ID, and most are offered to active duty and retired military members.

Applebee’s, many Wichita locations: Free entree from a special menu plus a special $5 card good for another visit within three weeks.
The Barn, 307 W. Dean St., Burrton: Half off any meal from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
BJ’s Brewhouse, 7960 E. Kellogg: Free Chocolate Chunk Pizookie with $11.95 purchase plus a free appetizer (on future visit) with $14.95 purchase.
Bonefish Grill, 10250 E. 13th St.: Free order of Bang Bang Shrimp and a soft drink. Bonefish Grill also offers a Heroes Discount of 10% off year round.
Bricktown Brewery, 2142 N. Tyler, 2035 N. Rock Road: Free meal from select menu plus $10 coupons toward another visit before Dec. 10. Dine-in only.
Bubba’s 33, 412 S. Towne East Mall Drive: Free entree from special menu plus soft drink, tea or coffee from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Those who can’t dine in person can pick up a rain check voucher good through May 30.
Buffalo Wild Wings, 3236 N. Rock Road, 2413 N. Maize Road: Free 10 boneless wings and fries. Dine-in only
Carlos O’ Kelly’s, several Wichita locations: Free meal
Carrabba’s, 3409 N. Rock Road: Free dine-in appetizer or dessert and soft drink. Carrabba’s also offers a Heroes Discount of 10% off year round
Casey’s General Store, several Wichita locations: Free coffee or fountain drink of any size
Chick-fil-A, several Wichita-area locations: Free Chick-fil-A sandwich
Chili’s, several Wichita locations: Free dine-in meal from special menu
Cici’s Pizza, 8320 W. Central: Free buffet. Dine-in only

Denny’s, 4024 E. Harry: Free Grand Slam breakfast offered from 5 a.m. to noon for dine-in only
Firebird’s Wood Fired Grill, 10096 E. 13th St.: Free meal for veterans who bring a paying guest. Free meal must be of equal or lesser value.
Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, several Wichita locations: Free combo meal card, no purchase necessary, that can be redeemed through Nov. 30
Golden Corral, 616 S. Ridge Road Circle: This restaurant’s free meal won’t happen until Monday, when veterans will be able to get a free thank-you dinner from 5 p.m. to close. Dine-in only
Grimaldi’s, 1441 N. Webb Road: 25% off bill on Friday and Saturday
HomeGrown, 645 E. Douglas, 1900 N. Rock Road, 2835 N. Maize Road: Gift card good for free meal on future visit
IHOP, several Wichita locations: Free red, white and blueberry pancakes from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Insomnia Cookies, 701 E. Douglas: Free six-pack of classic cookies with any purchase
Jimmie’s Diner, 3111 N. Rock Road, 1519 George Washington Blvd.: 25% off meals for those in uniform, 10% off meals for those with military ID and a dependent
Jimmy’s Egg, All area locations: One free entree up to $12 in value
Krispy Kreme, 7777 E. Central: One free doughnut and small hot or iced coffee
LaMar’s Donuts, 10051 W. 21st St., 3130 N. Rock Road: Free doughnut with a hole and 12-ounce coffee
Livingston’s Diner, 9747 E. 21st St. North: 20% off
LongHorn Steakhouse, 2720 N. Maize Road 440 S, Towne East Mall Drive: Free dessert or appetizer and 10 percent off the bill

Sojourner’s Coffee House, 7130 W. Maple: Serving Pizza Ranch breakfast pizza from 9 a.m. until it runs out.
Texas Roadhouse, 6707 W. Kellogg, 2526 N. Greenwich: The restaurants will be passing out meal vouchers in the parking lot from 9 to 11 a.m. that can be used for a future visit, or they’re giving out a free meal for dine-in customers from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Twin Peaks, 8310 E. 21st St., 7325 W. Taft: Free lunch from select menu from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dine-in only
