The Florida Atlantic basketball team made more history on Friday night with a 66-65 victory over Memphis in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in Columbus, Ohio.

Nick Boyd's sweeping drive across the lane after FAU inbounded with just five seconds remaining while trailing by a point vaulted the Owls (32-3) to the first NCAA Tournament win in program history.

The Owls advance to face No. 16 seed Fairleigh Dickinson on Sunday in the second round with a place in the Sweet Sixteen on the line.

Fairleigh Dickinson defeated No. 1 seed Purdue earlier in the night in Columbus to become just the second 16 seed to defeat a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
