Listen to Furman radio call of JP Pegues game-winning shot in March Madness upset of Virginia

The first upset of the 2023 NCAA Tournament comes at the hands of the Furman Paladins.

The 13-seeded Paladins beat the 4-seeded Virginia Cavaliers 68-67 on a JP Pegues 3-pointer with 2.4 seconds remaining on Thursday in Orlando.

Virginia's Kihei Clark made an ill-advised turnover by tossing the ball toward midcourt. Garrett Hien got credit for the steal, then passed up the floor to Pegues, who knocked down the right elbow 3-pointer.

After a timeout, Virginia's Reese Beekman heaved up a long shot that missed the rim, and the Paladins celebrated the upset.
