With the mid-engine sports car being readied for its debut in IMSA's WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, the team placed our audio recorder directly between the 5.5-liter V-8 engine's exhaust pipes. With the trio of Antonio Garcia, Jordan Taylor, and Nicky Catsburg flying around the high banks of Daytona International Speedway during testing, the unique pitch created by its flat-plane crankshaft creates a clear sound separation from its front-engine predecessor, the title-winning C7.R.
