On this episode: Mark Schlissel's presidency at the University of Michigan ended by email over his emails. But his ousting Saturday after the discovery of a reported relationship with a subordinate is more than just an embarrassment for Schlissel — it's yet another time the school has found itself in bad headlines of late.
Between the sexual assault scandal surrounding former sports doctor Robert Anderson and the firing of provost Martin Philbert over sexual harassment, the school can't seem to escape issues with officials abusing power.
As Free Press reporter David Jesse tells host Cary Junior II, it has all led to major distrust at the school.
And now, someone has to step into Schlissel's shoes and take that on.
The two dive into who that special someone needs to be, and what is at stake for students, faculty and alumni should they fail.
