Lithuania announces new military aid package for Ukraine

According to the message, Defense Minister Arvydas Anušauskas made the announcement at the most recent Ramstein-style meeting.

Anušauskas emphasized Lithuania's commitment to Ukraine, noting that the country's military support to Ukraine will soon reach EUR 465 million ($498 million).

“Our support to Ukraine is an investment in our own resilience, deterrence, and defense,” the minister said.

“Only Ukraine's victory will help restore peace and stability in the Euro-Atlantic region.”

Anušauskas revealed that the new package of combat support from Lithuania for Ukraine will contain drones, ammunition, dry food rations, and other forms of aid.

The minister also highlighted the importance of training Ukrainian troops, noting that Lithuania has significantly increased the volume of training and the number of instructors designated for it.

In addition to training, Lithuania's military aid this year includes the transfer of military equipment and machinery, medical treatment and rehabilitation for servicemen, as well as contributions to international funds.
