“I think Smokey Robinson said it best as he presented Little Anthony with his induction into the Rock & RollHall of Fame (in 2009) when he said, ‘Little Anthony is still awesome, give yourself a treat, go see him somewhere, ifhe’s in your area, because this show is the bomb,’” Chris Shovlin, CEO of Lincoln Park, said. "Personally, I’ve seen Little Anthony in concert about a half-dozen times and even introduced him at his 50th Anniversary appearance at Richard Nader’s Pittsburgh Holiday Doo-Wop Reunion" at Mellon Arena. "He’s great. You’ll know all the songs and will want to sing along."

Born on Jan. 8, 1941, and raised as Jerome Gourdine in Brooklyn, his "Little Anthony" stage name became world famous.

The Rock Hall of Fame says this on its website:

"In a New York music scene flooded with talent, Little Anthony and the Imperials were the cream of the crop. Little Anthony and the Imperials were so talented that their voices transcended the trends, landing them hits in multiple decades and genres. Their trademark imploring vocals and confident command of the stage charmed audiences everywhere."
