Little Mix star Perrie Edwards has revealed her child's full name and the meaning behind it.

The singer and her fiancé, footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, welcomed their son in August 2021. We already knew that their son's first name is Axel, but now Perrie has shared his full name.

In an Instagram Stories Q&A, Perrie was asked by a fan how she decided on the name, and replied: "His name is Axel Xander. Like his dadda Alexander."

In the other answers, Perrie revealed that her fiancé is "not terribly bad" at singing, but she is rubbish at football, and that her favourite shows include things like Dead to Me, The Handmaid's Tale and Modern Family.

She also reiterated that new solo music is coming, telling fans that she's "working on it".

Perrie signed a deal with Columbia Records back in March, and has previously stated that she is being allowed to take her time to find her solo sound rather than being rushed into a deadline. As well as being a mum, she's also putting time into her fashion brand Disora.

Meanwhile, Perrie's fellow Little Mix bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock recently kickstarted her own solo music career with the song 'Don't Say Love', and has dipped her toes into the world of acting as well. Jade Thirlwall is also expected to start releasing solo music this year too.
