Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards has given an update on her solo career, revealing she has "no set timeline" for when she'll release new music.

While speaking to Grazia about her fashion brand Disora, the singer and clothing designer gave an update on her career. "I don’t have a set timeline," she said.

"My label have told me to just go with the flow and enjoy discovering what my sound is going to be. The fact there’s no deadline in my life just makes me the happiest person. I feel so lucky to just be having fun."

Perrie went on to add that she was grateful to have creative freedom for her solo work, following a heavily structured decade in the girl-group.

"In Little Mix, our life was mapped out about three years in advance sometimes. Now, it’s so much more freeing for all of us," she continued.

"We’re doing exactly what makes us happy and working to our own timelines. It’s really refreshing."

Following their formation on the X-Factor in 2011, Little Mix went on to have a hugely successful career. Originally a four-piece consisting of Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Jesy Nelson, the group sold over 60 million records worldwide.

Nelson was the first to pursue a solo career, following her decision to exit the group in 2020. Little Mix then continued as a trio before taking an indefinite hiatus following their Confetti Tour, which ended in May 2022.
