Little Traverse Historical Museum to host program on Bath School massacre

PETOSKEY — The Little Traverse Historical Society will be offering a free program at 7 p.m. on Sept. 29 at the museum.

George Robson will be speaking about the Bath School disaster of 1927, which his parents survived. The deadliest school massacre in U.S. history happened in Bath, Michigan when a disgruntled school board member detonated explosives at the school. This program is free and open to the public.

The Little Traverse Historical Museum will be closing for the season on Oct. 1. The museum’s fall hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday-Saturday. Museum admission is $3 for adults. Members and children are always free.
