A live, interactive "Bachelor" stage show that was scheduled to bring some of the franchise's biggest stars to metro Phoenix for three weekends this April has been canceled.

The Bachelor Live — a 21-and-up event that features alumni from the reality show and its spinoffs as hosts and eligible bachelors — was supposed to take place at Talking Stick Resort and Casino near Scottsdale on April 7-8, 14-15 and 21-22. A publicist for the resort told The Arizona Republic on March 27 that every date for The Bachelor Live event was canceled.

On March 30, the event's website showed that all performances have been canceled and "will not be rescheduled at this time." No reason was given, but on March 29, the events' Ticketmaster listings showed that between 7% and 12% of tickets had been sold for each show.

What is The Bachelor Live?

Formerly called Bachelor Live on Stage, the show last visited metro Phoenix in February 2020, but the pandemic put a pause on the U.S. tour soon after it launched. The tour returned in 2022 with more than 40 shows across the country.

In Arizona, "Bachelorette" lead Becca Kufrin was slated to host four shows, and Andrew Spencer — from Katie Thurston's 2021 season of "The Bachelorette" and "Bachelor in Paradise" 2022 — was going to host two. On April 7-8 and 21-22, Spencer was to perform bachelor duties, and his friend Rodney Matthews from Michelle Young's 2021 season of "The Bachelorette" and last year's "Bachelor in Paradise" was scheduled to be the bachelor on April 14-15.

The event is a stage adaption of the long-running reality dating show that allows fans to potentially shoot their shot with a "Bachelor" alumnus in front of a rowdy crowd of fellow Bachelor Nation members. Each night, a group of contestants chosen from the audience participates in group challenges and one-on-one dates with the evening's bachelor.

How long is The Bachelor Live show?

According to the event's website, it runs 75 minutes with no intermissions.
