Today's election will help decide the make of the Alamogordo City Commission.

Among them the District 3 seat held by Karl Melton, who is seeking reelection. He's challenged by Warren Robinson and Jim Talbert.

New data from the New Mexico Secretary of State indicated that by 1 p.m. 1,596 voters had cast a vote at various locations on Election Day, Nov. 7,

1:10 p.m.

Data from New Mexico's Secretary of State indicates that 3,562 ballots were cast during the early in-person voting period in Otero County.

While Republicans led those numbers, Democrats led in the number of absentee ballots requested for the local election.

10:15 a.m.

The Alamogordo School Board races will be decided today.

District 1 features Judy Rabon, current board president, against a single challenger, Craig Danekas.
