Hello everybody and welcome to Houston and this UConn men’s basketball Final Four live blog. We’re coming to you courtside here as UConn takes on Miami at NRG Stadium. Check back for constant updates.

19:50 left, 1st half: Jordan Hawkins hits the first shot of the game, a 3-pointer from the wing. Guess he’s feeling alright.

17:50: Adama Sanogo drains a 3 from the top of the key to give the Huskies a 6-0 lead.

16:56: SANOGO just drained ANOTHER ARE YOU KIDDING ME. 9-0.

16:33: Miami scores its first bucket of the game on a Jordan Miller layup. 9-2.

15:30: Sanogo scores again, this time inside. He’s got 8 and the Huskies lead it, 11-4.

13:41: Tristen Newton drains a 3. UConn now 4-of-7 from deep. Huskies lead it, 14-4. They’re looking like their typical dominant selves.

12:19:
Donovan Clingan muscles his way inside and gets it to go, And-1. He’s just too big and it looks like UConn is just too good right now.

11:41:
Miami’s Bensley Joseph leaps over Clark Kellogg and Jim Jackson courtside and lands right in front of the Courant’s Kels Dayton and Dom Amore. Was a little afraid for my life there, not gonna lie.

8:37: Sanogo outmuscles Miami players and comes up with the offensive rebound. He’ll shoot two with UConn up, 18-16.

8:23: Nigel Pack hits a 3 to tie it 19. Hurricanes fans going crazy. Newton then finds Calcaterra inside to put the Huskies back in front by two.

4:35: Tristen Newton hits two free throws to put UConn back up 27-19. Nice little run for the Huskies. Sanogo and Clingan come up with big blocks inside. UConn’s height advantage certainly appears to be making a difference right now.

2:22: Nahiem Alleyne gets a tough bucket to go inside on the drive. Calcaterra then hits a big 3 and UConn extends to a 32-21 lead. The UConn fan section to the side of the basket explodes.

13.9: UConn calls a 30-second timeout up 34-24 with 13 seconds to go in the half. It’ll be interesting to see where they go here… thinking trying to get Hawkins a look off of a screen would be a good call.

HALFTIME: Instead, it’s Alex Karaban for 3 off of some nice offense there to end the half. He did the same thing at the end of the first half against Gonzaga in the Elite Eight, giving the Huskies a seven-point lead then. UConn will now enter the break leading 37-24, and they’ve got to be feeling very good about themselves right now.
