There’s a reason why both of these schools are thought of as defense-first teams. This game is turning into a true defensive battle, as the offenses struggle to make consistent gains.

Although Oregon State does have seven points on the board, the team was desperate enough in the second quarter to briefly replace starting quarterback DJ Uigalelei with Aidan Chiles. Uigalelei was back in the game for the Beavers’ last two drives of the half.

Utah’s Nate Johnson completed just 3 of 11 passes for 35 yards in the first half.
