After being closed to the public for over a century, London’s Old War Office is back and better than ever before, as a residential building known as the OWO Residences by Raffles.

Built in 1906, this London landmark is where UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill commanded the British armed forces, and it’s also where novelist Ian Fleming came up with his iconic James Bond novels. Not to mention, a number of Bond movies were filmed here as well! This building also boasts secret underground tunnels, which spies and Secretaries of State have reportedly walked through.

Today, the OWO Residences by Raffles is a luxury residential building and hotel that just launched sales for its new residences, with a starting price point of £5.8 million (or around $8 million), for a two-bedroom apartment. The hotel and residences will officially open in 2022.

In order to preserve the Old War Office’s history, many original design elements have been kept in place in the OWO Residences, while also allowing room for modern yet classic decor (and an indoor pool!). And long before this structure was the Old War Office, it was the grounds of the original Palace of Whitehall, where monarchs like King Henry VIII resided.

And this isn’t the only historic site in this part of London: The Horse Guards building is just across the street, while Buckingham Palace is a short walk away.
