Focus moves to mother of George Wagner IV in Pike County murder trial

WAVERLY, Ohio – During Thursday in testimony in the murder trial of George Wagner IV, prosecutors played jurors a two-plus hour interview between Wagner IV's mother and investors with the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

BCI agents traveled to the Montana-Canada border on May 21, 2017, to interview the entire Wagner family.

In her interview, Angela Wagner denied any knowledge of her family's involvement in the slaying of Pike County's Rhoden family in April of 2016. She cut off the interview at 2:04 and said she was going to get a lawyer.

In the afternoon, Christopher Newcomb told the jury that Angela Wagner, his half-sister, was "controlling as all getout." Wagner IV is the only member of the family he misses, he said.
