‘The Monuments Men’

This PG-13 film will be screened at 8 p.m. April 1 as part of the City of Ocala Recreation and Parks Department’s 2023 “After Dark in the Park” movie series. ‘Once: A New Musical by Enda Walsh’

The West Port High School Omega Theatre Company will stage performances of this work at 7 p.m. April 1 and 2 p.m. April 2 at the school, 3733 SW 80th Ave., Ocala. “This bittersweet musical romp through the pubs of Ireland features live student accompaniment and magical songs including the Oscar winning theme ‘Falling Slowly,’ ” organizers say. Central Florida Master Choir Spring Concert: ‘Night and Day’

The performance will be at 3 p.m. April 2 at Countryside Presbyterian Church, 7768 SW State Road 200, Ocala. Featuring Bach’s “Cantata No. 4, Christ Lag in Todesbanden” in the original German and also secular music including “Night and Day,” “Good Day, Sunshine” and “Moon River.”

‘Flora for Fostering’

This is the first exhibit from The Artists of Gallery B, and it will be shown 5-7 p.m. April 4 at SouthState Bank, 1632 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala.

“Twenty-two artists combine their love for oil painting with their passion for supporting programs assisting children and families in need by creating over 100 vibrant florals to be displayed and available for sale. All proceeds will benefit THE PEARL PROJECT of Ocala,” organizers say.

‘Xanadu’

CF Theatre presents this musical at 7:30 p.m. April 13-15 and 3 p.m. April 16 at the Dassance Fine Arts Center, 3001 SW College Road, Ocala. Tickets are $12 for adults, $6 for non-CF students and free for CF students, faculty and staff with valid I.D.

Veronica Lewis concert

This Blues/R&B concert will be 7-9 p.m. April 14 at Webb Field at the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Complex, 1510 NW Fourth St., Ocala. It is part of the Levitt AMP Ocala Music Series, which presents a weekly concert April 14 through June 23 (excluding May 26.) Admission is free; bring blankets and lawn chairs.

Sholom Park’s Spring Strings Concert: Classern Quartet

The concert will be 5-7 p.m. April 15 at the park, 7110 SW 80th Ave., Ocala. “Classern Quartet combines the elegant virtuosity of a traditional string quartet with the energy and passion of a modern pop/rock band, creating a genre-defying musical experience, unlike any other quartet,” organizers say.

Tickets are $25 per person; advance registration is required through Master the Possibilities Education Center. Bring lawn chairs and pack a picnic; food also available from Big Lee’s Serious About Barbecue and Squeezy Lemonade food trucks.

Earthfest

Ladies Night Out

‘Plantastic’

The Discovery Center’s newest exhibit, “Plantastic,” is up through May 6 at the center, 701 NE Sanchez Ave., Ocala.

“Follow Bobbi the Botanist on an adventure to see all the ways that plants power our world. Check out the mini hedge maze and be the insect in the larger-than-life flower garden,” the City of Ocala said in a news release.
