Live music throughout New Brighton today

NEW BRIGHTON − June 21 is international Make Music Day, a day set aside to celebrate the act of making music.

Brighton Music Center will celebrate by hosting eight local musical acts busking throughout various New Brighton locations today. Sets will last about an hour.

The schedule:

11 a.m.: John Tekstar outside Hallowed Grounds, 1106 Third Ave.

Noon: Terry Cox outside We're At Your Service, Third Avenue at 11th Street.

1 p.m.: Ambridge Steel Drum Band, Townsend Park across from the New Brighton Municipal Building.

2 p.m.: James Beswick, Brighton Music Center, 1015 Third Ave.

3 p.m.: Drew Pinchotti, Quality Time & Carry Out, 906 Third Ave.

4 p.m.: Dante Nocera, New Brighton Parklette.

5 p.m.: Alex Bobin, Kopicko's Pizza, 301 Eighth Street.

6 p.m. Jake Rozmus at Pappy’s Handcrafted Candles, Third Street.
