Game recap: Miami Hurricanes hold off Virginia Tech Hokies in key ACC road win
The Miami Hurricanes ended a three-game losing streak on Saturday, downing the Virginia Tech Hokies 20-14 in Blacksburg, Va., in an ACC football game.
Tyler Van Dyke threw for 288 yards and two touchdowns as the 'Canes (3-3 overall, 1-2 ACC) got out to a 20-0 lead and held on. The Hokies fell to 2-5, 1-3.

Miami (2-3, 0-2 ACC) now heads to Blacksburg to take on Virginia Tech (2-4, 1-2). The Hokies are also on a three-game losing skid, falling last week 45-29 to Pittsburgh. Panthers running back Israel Abanikanda had his way with the Hokies, running for 332 yards and six touchdowns. Quarterback Grant Wells threw a touchdown and an interception, while receiver Kaleb Smith had nine receptions for a game-high 152 yards.
The 'Canes have won the past two meetings, winning 38-26 last season in Miami.
