Game recap: Miami Hurricanes defeat Canisius in NCAA Baseball Tournament

Note: Friday's scheduled game between the Miami Hurricanes and Canisius Golden Griffins has been postponed to Saturday night. The new 5 p.m. start also has been delayed by weather. Click here to see more.

The Miami Hurricanes are hoping for a much better outcome in 2022's version of the NCAA Baseball Tournament.

In 2021, the 'Canes couldn't get out of the Gainesville Regional. Miami beat South Alabama in the opener 1-0, but then got the boot with two losses: 10-2 to South Florida and 7-2 to South Alabama.

This year, Miami (39-18) is coming in without momentum after being dumped out of the ACC Tournament with two straight losses, one to North Carolina State, the other to Wake Forest.
