Live OSAA scores: West Salem girls advance to second round

West Salem’s girls basketball team beat Tigard on Tuesday in the OSAA Class 6A state playoffs 45-42.

The Titans advance to the second round with the victory, where they will either host Moubtainside or travel to Grants Pass.

West Salem, the No. 10 seed, is one win from reaching the state tournament final site at the University of Portland’s Chiles Center.

SAXONS AND CELTICS FALL

The South Salem and McNary girls basketball teams lost in the first round of the 6A state playoffs.

The Saxons lost 68-41 at Barlow, and the Celtics lost 65-34 to Oregon City.
