Nashville SC's Hany Mukhtar made his first MLS All-Star appearance, substituting into the game for Vela in the 32nd minute.

Rather than his popular No. 10 jersey, Mukhtar is wearing No. 95, since New England Revolution's Carles Gil is wearing No. 10.

9:24 p.m. - MLS 2, Liga MX 0

Gil drew a penalty in the 72nd minute, but Seattle's Raúl Ruidíaz converted from the spot in the 73rd minute in front of the Wonderwall supporters' section in the south end.

9:35 p.m. - MLS 2, Liga MX 1

9:39 p.m. - Fans shouting discriminatory chant

The MLS and Liga MX All-Stars played in front of 19,107. A large contingent of Mexican fans were heard shouting a homophobic slur that nearly led to postponement of the match.

The "p*to" chant occurs when opposing goalkeepers take goal kicks. Beginning in the 86th minute, chants rang throughout the stadium and the public announcer subsequently warned the fans play would be suspended if the chant resumed.

The stadium production crew began to play music when MLS goalkeeper Sean Johnson kicked the ball long.
