The 2022 NBA All-Star weekend in Cleveland is in full swing. The All-Stars practiced early Saturday.
The Skills Challenge featured a trio of Cavs. Darius Garland, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen will all represent Team Cavs. Mobley was coming off a strong showing Friday night in the Rising Stars Challenge.
Team Cavs took on Team Rooks (Scottie Barnes, Toronto Raptors; Cade Cunningham, Detroit Pistons; Josh Giddey, Oklahoma City Thunder) and Team Antetokounmpos, a team of Antetokounmpos brothers (Giannis, Milwaukee Bucks; Thanasis, Milwaukee Bucks; Alex, G League Raptors 905).
Follow along below for live highlights from Saturday night's competitions:
Obi Toppin wins 2022 Dunk Contest
And so concludes arguably the worst dunk contest in history.
Juan Toscano-Anderson became the second contestant tonight to not even register a dunk, leaving the door open for Toppin to win by default. Toppin, in his first dunk of the final round, had to abandon his initial dunk because he couldn't finish it, instead choosing a more straight-forward dunk. Toppin then completed the initial plan for his second dunk.
No contestant Saturday night registered a 50, the highest possible score.

Toppin, Toscano-Anderson advance to finals of dunk contest
The second round of dunks wasn't much better. Cole Anthony failed to complete a second dunk with his allotted attempts. Obi Toppin advanced, but didn't flush it like he wanted. Toscano-Anderson completed his dunk onthe first try, but it didn't wow the judges, either.

Toppin, Toscano-Anderson tied after first round of dunks
The first round of dunks led something to be desired.
Obi Toppin, who played at Dayton, and Juan Toscano-Anderson tied for the top dunk with 44s. Cole Anthony had a 40 after duning in Timberlands and Jalen Green had a 38. The first wave of dunks was mostly errant attempts.

Karl-Anthony Towns wins 3-point contest

Towns won the 3-point contest with a 29 in the final round, besting Luke Kennard and Trae Young, who both put up 26s. Towns' 29 is also the record for the final round in the 3-point contest.
