11:35 p.m. Home cooking! The Boston Celtics are now up 2-1 in the NBA Finals after a big win at home over the Golden State Warriors at the TD Garden. The final: 116-100.
Game 4 is Friday in Boston.
“Don’t get too happy and get ready for the next one,” said Jayson Tatum said after the game.
Tatum finished with 26 points and 6 rebounds. Jaylen Brown had a team high 27 points and 9 rebounds. Marcus Smart had 24 points and 7 rebounds. Steph Curry led the way for the Warriors with 31 points, followed by Klay Thompson with 25.
“Other than the turnovers, I thought we were solid overall. We matched their intensity better than last game,” said Celtics coach Ime Udoka.

Celtics fans have been gathered outside the Garden waiting for hours to get inside. Chants of “Let’s go Celtics” echoed on Causeway Street as fans made their way in.

The Greater Boston Firefighters Pipes & Drums were out on Causeway as well to set the scene for fans of the Celtics.
The Garden looked pretty nice before fans piled into their seats. T-shirts were draped over their seats, about the hunt for banner 18 in the 617 of Boston.
Governor Charlie Baker challenged California Governor Gavin Newsom to a bet before Game 3. Each would have to wear the other team’s jersey if they lost.
Hey @GavinNewsom – @celtics are going to win the @NBA finals. How about a bet?
When they win, you wear a C’s jersey of my choosing. If @warriors win, I’ll wear one of yours.
