The Dallas Cowboys (10-4) fall 31-10 to the Buffalo Bills (8-6) on Sunday, snapping their five-game winning streak.

The Cowboys are in first place in the NFC East after beating the Philadelphia Eagles (10-3) in their last game. However, an Eagles victory on Monday Night Football against the Seahawks would give Philadelphia the division lead.

The Buffalo Bills have won two games in a row following their overtime loss against the Eagles.

Here is how the Cowboys lost the game.

FIRST QUARTER

The Bills got the ball to start the game and moved the ball with ease on their first drive with success running the ball with James Cook and with Josh Allen connecting with Stefon Diggs for multiple catches on the drive. A roughing the passer penalty by Demarcus Lawrence extended the drive on third down. Latavius Murray finished the drive with a two-yard touchdown drive, the PAT was good. Bills lead 7-0 with 8:06 left in the first quarter.

SECOND QUARTER

Cowboys defender Sam Williams ran into the punter on fourth down which extended the Bills drive. The Bills took advantage bludgeoning the Cowboys with their rushing attack. Allen capped the drive off with an 18-yard touchdown throw to Cook, the PAT was good. The Bills lead 14-0 with 12:52 left in the half.

The Cowboys had their best drive of the day thanks to a necessary roughness penalty from the Bills and Tony Pollard’s rushing prowess. However, the drive stalled near the endzone and the Cowboys settled for Brandon Aubrey’s 32-yard field goal. Cowboys trail 14-3 with 7:13 remaining.

An unnecessary roughness penalty against the Cowboys extended another Bills drive and James Cook continued his big day on the ground to help the Bills get into Cowboys territory. A 20-yard run by Cook set the Bills up on the one-yard line. Allen scored on a one-yard run and the PAT was good. Bills lead 21-3 with 1:36 left in the half.

THIRD QUARTER

After the Cowboys first possession stalled out the Bills and their rush attack continued to dominate the Dallas defense. The Bills got the ball deep into the redzone but James Cook dropped what could’ve been a touchdown pass. Buffalo settled for a 23-yard Tyler Bass Field goal. Bills lead 24-3 with 2:36 left in the third quarter.

FOURTH QUARTER

James Cook’s big day continued with the running back accounting for 45 yards on the drive including a 24-yard touchdown. The Bills made the PAT and took a 31-3 lead over the Dallas Cowboys with 12:30 left in the fourth quarter.

The Cowboys offense finally got into a rhythm late in the fourth quarter and scored their first touchdown of the game on a Lamb 3-yard touchdown run. The PAT was good but the Cowboys still trail 31-10 with 2:48 left in the game.
