Key plays from DePaul's 19-17 win over Red Bank Catholic in Non-Public B football final

DePaul, which entered the game ranked No. 13 in the USA TODAY NETWORK New Jersey Top 25 rankings, came back to beat Red Bank Catholic by a 19-17 score in the Non-Public B state title game.

The Spartans, which lost to the Caseys in last year's Non-Public B title game, rallied from a 10-0 deficit in the win.

Here were the big plays in the DePaul victory:

Fourth quarter

After a DePaul punt, Red Bank Catholic started from its own 29-yard line with 2:53 left in the game. That drive ended with 2:04 to play after four straight incomplete passes.

Red Bank Catholic kept its hopes alive with a 10-yard TD pass from Frankie Williams to Robert Stolfa with 3:22 left in the game. DePaul 19, Red Bank Catholic 17

The teams traded punts to begin the half, then DePaul blocked a punt that went out the back of the end zone for a safety with 7:18 left in the game. DePaul 19, Red Bank Catholic 10

Third quarter

The Spartans' second drive of the quarter ended with a 7-yard touchdown run by Anthony Almeida with 30 seconds left in the frame. DePaul 17, Red Bank Catholic 10

The Caseys received the kickoff to begin the second half, and punted on their first two possessions of the half.

Second quarter

After forcing a three-and-out, DePaul started a drive from midfield with 2:23 left in the half. A 16-yard run by Derek Zammit helped set up a 29-yard field goal by Luke Monteyne with 16 seconds left. Red Bank Catholic 10, DePaul 10

Immediately after a long return by Jadin Johnson, DePaul quarterback Derek Zammit found De'Zie Jones for a 60-yard touchdown pass for DePaul's first score of the game with 3:53 left in the half. Red Bank Catholic 10, DePaul 7

Red Bank Catholic used another long drive to score its first touchdown of the game on a 4-yard run by Sabino Portella with 4:10 left in the half. Red Bank Catholic 10, DePaul 0

DePaul went three-and-out on its first possession of the quarter. A punt gave Red Bank Catholic strong starting field position at its own 41-yard line.

On the first play of the quarter, Red Bank Catholic's Justin LaMorte kicked a 21-yard field goal to put the Caseys ahead. Red Bank Catholic 3, DePaul 0

First quarter

Red Bank Catholic's first drive ended with a punt that hit a DePaul player and was recovered by the Caseys at the DePaul 30-yard line. The quarter ended with Red Bank Catholic facing a fourth-and-goal from the four-yard line.

DePaul received the opening kickoff, and the Spartans first drive ended with a punt to the Red Bank Catholic 17-yard line.
