Greetings from Sanford Stadium where it’s another 12 p.m. kickoff for Georgia with Missouri in town.

This is the third noon start for the Bulldogs and second at home following the Arkansas game.

This one will be a bit chilly. Temperatures are forecast to be 51 degrees and partly cloudy at kickoff with winds at 10 miles per hour., according to Weather.com.

“I’m counting on the early risers to be there,” coach Kirby Smart said on his radio show. “They need to all cuddle up and get warm with each other.”

This seems to be par for the course for games with Missouri. Last year’s kickoff was 39 and rainy in Columbia and it was 40 degrees in 2019 here in Athens.

As you’ve probably heard former Georgia coach Mark Richt will be honored today at halftime with more than 40 for his captains joining him on the field.

Linebacker Adam Anderson is suspended after facing a rape accusation that the Athens-Clarke County police is investigating. His attorney has asked Georgia to reconsider his suspension.

Left tackle Jamaree Salyer is out with a foot injury.

Georgia plays its first game since being No. 1 in the first CFP rankings.

“We can’t get complacent, we can’t get lazy, we’ve just got to keep working and treat every game like it’s the last one,” wide receiver Jaylen Johnson said.

10:13 p.m. More on Mark Richt

The current Georgia players--except for maybe then recruit Julian Rochester--didn't overlap with Mark Richt, who coached the Bulldogs from 2001-15.

“Everything I’ve heard from the people that still work in the building from when he was the head coach or people that I’ve come across that played for him, just nothing but amazing things about his character, about how he treated and loved his players," guard Warren Ericson said.

Kirby Smart was hired by Richt as running backs coach in 2005 after a season at LSU.

"Coach Richt gave me an opportunity coaching running backs, which I'd never done," Smart said. "So, that showed a lot of confidence in me as a coach. Learned a lot from him. Learned a lot about being the right kind of person and how to run an organization the right way. He's meant a lot to me and I was really only with him one year. But I always followed him from afar because he was at my alma mater and I respected the job he did."
