Having snapped a three-game losing streak, Kentucky football returns home to face the eighth-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday at Kroger Field. Kickoff is scheduled for noon. The game will be televised by ESPN.

After last week’s 24-3 win at Mississippi State, Kentucky is 6-3 overall and 3-3 in the SEC. Alabama is coming off a 42-28 win over visiting LSU. Nick Saban’s Tide is 8-1 overall and 6-0 in the league.

Final: Alabama 49, Kentucky 21

Alabama improves to 9-1 overall and 7-0 in the SEC. The Crimson Tide finishes the regular season with Chattanooga at home and Auburn on the road.

Kentucky falls to 6-4 overall and 3-4 in the SEC. The Wildcats finish up with South Carolina and Louisville, both on the road.

Kentucky’s Ray Davis scores

Ramon Jefferson burst a 74-yard run on the Alabama defense down to the Tide’s 1-yard line. Two plays later, Ray Davis scored from two yards out. Kentucky now trails 49-21 with 7:46 remaining at Kroger Field. It was Davis’ 16th touchdown of the season.

Alabama keeps on rolling

The Tide’s Jam Miller scores on a 3-yard run go make it 49-14 Alabama with 9:46 remaining. The scoring drive covered 66 yards on seven plays. Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson led the drive as Jalen Milroe is done for the day.

Alabama extends lead to 42-14

On the first play of the fourth quarter, Jalen Milroe scores on a 1-yard tush push. It’s Milroe’s third rushing touchdown to go with his three touchdown passes. A big punt return by Kool-Aid McKinstry gave the Tide the ball at the UK 38. It took eight plays for Alabama to score. Tide rolling 42-14 with 14:48 left.

Tide has the ball at the UK 1-yard line for second-and-goal as the quarter ends.

Jalen Milroe does it again

Milroe has now accounted for 5 Alabama scores. He’s thrown for 3 and just ran for his 2nd. Tide leads Kentucky 35-14 with 6:29 left in third quarter. The key play in the drive was a 30-yard pass from Milroe to Prentice on a 3rd-and-17.

Kentucky opens second half with a touchdown

Kentucky takes second half kickoff and goes 75 yards in 10 plays for a TD, cutting Alabama’s lead to 28-14 with 10:53 left in the 3Q. Ray Davis scored on a 2-yard run. Davis has 25 yards on 10 carries for the day. A 28-yard pass from Leary to Josh Kattus was the big-gainer on the drive. Kattus made an excellent catch on the right sideline.

Bama’s Jalen Milroe accounted for all 4 scores for the Tide. He threw for 3 TDs and ran for another.

UK’s only score came off a muffed Bama punt return.

Alabama extends lead to 28-7 as on an off-schedule play, Milroe hits Roydell Williams for a 26-yard score with 10:14 left in first half. Drive covered 62 yards in five plays. Milroe has thrown for TDs of 26, 40 and 26 yards.

Kentucky cashes in on Alabama mistake

Kentucky recovers a muffed Alabama punt return at the Tide’s 32-yard line. UK is on the board six plays later. A pass interference penalty on the visitors put the ball at the 2. Ray Davis was thrown for a 4-yard loss on first down. But Devin Leary hit Tayvion Robinson in the right corner of the end zone for a 6-yard TD on second down. Alabama’s lead now 21-7 with 1:30 left in first quarter.

Alabama now up 21-0 on Kentucky

Alabama returns a Barion Brown fumble to the 1-yard line. Milroe scores on a sneak on the first play. Alabama 21-0 with 5:12 left in the first quarter.

Kentucky already in a two-touchdown hole

Alabama jumps out in front 14-0 with 5:32 left in first quarter. Milroe hit Kobe Prentice for a 40-ayrd touchdown. Milroe scrambled a bit, and Prentice was wide open in the right corner of the end zone. Kentucky may have another Georgia game on its hands.

Alabama scores on game’s first possession

Alabama takes opening kickoff and drives 80 yards in 10 plays with Jalen Milroe hitting an open Amari Niblack for a 26-yard TD and a 7-0 lead with 9:38 left in the first quarter. The Tide converted two third downs on the drive. Milroe left the game for one play after appearing to injure his thigh on a 16-yard scramble.
