8:30 p.m. | FSU vs. Florida has plenty of fireworks in first quarter

What a first quarter that was.

FSU and Florida had a first quarter for the ages, trading blows and highlight-reel plays en route to a 14-14 result heading into the second quarter.

The Seminoles struck first with a nine-yard touchdown run from running back Trey Benson. On the play before Benson ran into the end zone for a score, he had quite the play on a 45-yard carry.

7:15 p.m. | Florida State recognizing 18 players for Senior Day

FSU is now honoring 18 players on the field as part of its Senior Day festivities.

The 15 scholarship players among them are defensive tackles Fabien Lovett and Robert Cooper, defensive end Leonard Warner III, defensive backs Jammie Robinson and Jarques McLellion, linebackers Tatum Bethune and Amari Gainer, wide receivers Ontaria Wilson and Keyshawn Helton, tight ends Camren McDonald and Wyatt Rector, and offensive linemen Kayden Lyles, D’Mitri Emmanuel, Dillan Gibbons and Jazston Turnetine.

The three walk-on players among them are receivers Mike Roussos and Fernando Padron, and long snapper Garrett Murray.

6:55 p.m. | Final pregame injury update

Florida wide receiver Ricky Pearsall and tight end Keon Zipperer are dressed out and participating in the final portion of pregame warmups.

But it looks like the Gators will be without starting safety Rashad Torrence II, who is not dressed out. Torrence leads them with 76 tackles this season. Kamari Wilson, a true freshman, is listed as Torrence's backup on Florida's depth chart.

The Gators listed Pearsall and Zipperer as questionable for this game on their two-deep depth chart Wednesday. Torrence was not listed on their injury report. Pearsall ranks second on the team with 24 catches for 448 yards and three touchdowns.

FSU receivers Johnny Wilson and Mycah Pittman are also participating in pregame warmups.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is expected to be at the game, which might explain why the lines to get into the stadium are moving slower than usual.

5:50 p.m. | Orange Bowl representatives plan to be at Doak Campbell Stadium

Representatives from the Orange Bowl are listed on the seating chart in the Doak Campbell Stadium press box.

FSU has an outside chance of landing an Orange Bowl bid, which was discussed in one of our stories earlier this week.

Cheez-It Bowl, ReliaQuest Bowl and Hula representatives are also listed on the seating chart. Representatives from three NFL teams – the Pittsburgh Steelers, San Francisco 49ers and the Cleveland Browns – are at Doak.

5:30 p.m. | Pregame availability updates

FSU will face a short-handed Florida team.

At best, the Gators will have five of their 10 scholarship wide receivers available against the Seminoles.

On its depth chart Wednesday, Florida listed receivers Justin Shorter (lower body), Ja’Quavion Fraziars (upper body), Xzavier Henderson (lower body), Marcus Burke (upper body) and Thai Chiaokhiao-Bowman (upper body) as out with injuries.

Receiver Ricky Pearsall (upper body) was listed as questionable. But Gator coach Billy Napier said in a press conference Wednesday that he expects Pearsall to play. Stay tuned for more updates on Pearsall during pregame warmups.

Shorter (29 catches, 577 yards, 2 TDs), Pearsall (24 catches, 448 yards, 3 TDs) and Henderson (38 catches, 410 yards, 2 TDs) are Florida’s top three receivers. They are the Gators' only receivers with more than 13 receptions and at least 250 receiving yards.

Tight end Keon Zipper is listed as questionable. He did not play last week and has 13 catches for 177 yards and a touchdown this season. Right tackle Michael Tarquin, who is listed as a co-starter with Austin Barber, was spotted in a walking boot following the Vanderbilt game.

Florida will also be without Ventrell Miller, one of their starting linebackers, for the first half because of a targeting penalty he received against Vanderbilt last Saturday. The sixth-year senior ranks second on the team in tackles (73) and run-defense grade (77.2) on Pro Football Focus.

It’s expected that FSU is fairly healthy coming into this game, but there are a few players that will be worth monitoring during pregame warmups.

Wide receivers Mycah Pittman and Johnny Wilson were the only questions among the starters coming into the week. Pittman went down with an apparent lower-body injury in the first half against Louisiana last Saturday and permanently left the game. Wilson surprisingly received only five snaps.

Norvell told the media Tuesday that he expects Pittman and Wilson to be available.

Tight end Jackson West continued to be listed on FSU’s two-deep depth chart Monday, but he has not played in a game this season. Winston Wright Jr., the first-year transfer from West Virginia, is still working his way back from the leg injury he suffered in a car accident in March. He has yet to play in a game this season.

Offensive linemen Bless Harris and Kayden Lyles, and linebacker Stephen Dix Jr. are out for the season with undisclosed injuries.
