Live updates: Ole Miss men's basketball opens 2021-22 season Tuesday night vs. New Orleans

OXFORD — The Ole Miss basketball team begins its 2021-22 season on Tuesday night at home against University of New Orleans at 6:30 p.m.

The Rebels went 16-12 a year ago and earned a No. 1 seed in the NIT. This season's Rebels have to replace three starters, including All-SEC point guard Devontae Shuler who has started for all three years of coach Kermit Davis' tenure in Oxford.

Ole Miss' new-look roster replaces the likes of Shuler and forwards K.J. Buffen and Romello White with one of the most talented signing classes in school history. Freshman guard Daeshun Ruffin is the highest-rated signee in Ole Miss history and transfers Jaemyn Brakefield, Tye Fagan and Nysier Brooks come to the Rebels via Power 5 programs Duke, Georgia and Miami.
