Live updates: SpaceX set for second Starlink launch attempt from Cape Canaveral
Update: Liftoff of SpaceX's latest batch of Starlink internet satellites at 8:50 p.m. EDT Sunday! This sets the stage for the next mission, currently slated to fly no earlier than late Wednesday night. See more at our full launch schedule here.
Follow live updates below as SpaceX targets 8:50 p.m. EDT Sunday, July 23, for the launch of a Falcon 9 rocket and batch of Starlink internet satellites from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.
If the countdown at Launch Complex 40 goes according to plan, Falcon 9 will fly along a southeastern trajectory and then target a landing on the Just Read the Instructions drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean. This will mark the booster's sixth mission so far.
Tonight's window to launch closes at 10:31 p.m. EDT. It's likely teams will need more time since weather conditions around the Cape are iffy.
