Live in the Vineland area? Your home could be the set of a horror film

Have a well-loved farmhouse in the Vineland area? How about an idyllic suburban spot with a white picket fence?

If the answer is yes, your home could be the set of one of two new movies.

BarBHouse Productions, a New York City company that makes sci-fi, action and horror films, is seeking locations for two upcoming projects.

"We're open to candidates from areas about 10-20 miles from Vineland," said Sophia Wolf, a BarBHouse representative.

The producers are looking for a "modestly priced farmhouse style home" for the first film, "Penitent," according to a post on Vineland's Facebook page.

Creaks and cracks? No worries, they're welcome - unlike the evil spirits in the film about a woman experiencing a demonic possession in her home.

The most-desired element is a staircase leading up to the second floor, preferably at the entrance of the house, the city's post says..

Are the suburbs more your vibe?

Maybe your home will be more suited for "Nanny Cam," a film about a first-time mother with demonic activity in her home.

For this film, producers want a suburban home. Vinyl siding and/or a white picket fence aren't requirements, but they are a plus.

The New York City firm "chose Vineland as the hub because we have a base there and love the town and the mayor," said Wolf.

So, do you think your home could be a movie setting?

Filming would last three to five weeks for each movie and include a paid location fee, the city's post says.

Crews working on the productions are fully insured, it adds.

More movies filmed in South Jersey

This isn't the first time South Jersey has been selected as a filming location.

BET+ in November debuted a holiday movie, "So Fly Christmas," with stars like Tichina Arnold and Tami Roman. It was shot at the Jersey Shore.

Another movie set in Vineland, "The Zombie Wedding," is the debut production of Weekly World News Studios'. The Vineland-affiliated studio is set to start working on its second film in the city in March.
