5. (SOUNDBITE) (English) LIVERPOOL COACH, JUERGEN KLOPP, SAYING:

"The last week was not the best week of our lives, let me just say it like this. It started with a really good football game (2-2 draw against Everton) with some things which we obviously didn't like and which don't help, and so then it's all about showing a reaction because you can't influence the things what happened to you in life but you can influence the response you show and I liked the response. To be honest it was... the boys were really ready to work extremely hard again and show real resilience, fighting for results, digging in, all these kind of things which are important. I expect that actually, but after the very very long, very very good times we had, it's then possible that people react differently and my boys didn't. They did exactly what I thought they will do. They fought as much as they could and we won both games (against Ajax and Sheffield United), so that was the part I liked most."

6. (SOUNDBITE) (English) LIVERPOOL COACH, JUERGEN KLOPP, SAYING:

(Q: "In terms of the squad as well Juergen, how are you looking injury-wise and I'm thinking obviously Naby Keita, Thiago (Alcantara), Joel Matip, are they all available for Champions League action this week?")

"I don't think so."

(Q: "How long are you looking at for those three?")

"It's still what I said last week, we look day-by-day but it seems, it looks like, that we need a few more days, so for tomorrow night, they will probably not be ready."

9. (SOUNDBITE) (English) LIVERPOOL COACH, JUERGEN KLOPP, SAYING:

"I think in Denmark pretty much the Copenhagen teams are very used to being the main teams and now this team is disturbing that a little bit and they have all my respect to be honest. We are not like 'This is a B-team, we are Liverpool and they are Midjtjylland and we'll know exactly how we ride it'. We really respect them a lot because we undertand football where a lot of things are possible in a positive way if you showed the right attitude and in a negative way if you don't show the right attitude. I'm sure Midjtjylland will show the right attitude, so we have to do that as well. We have to bring our 100 percent and then we have the chance, and we don't need more."

12. (SOUNDBITE) (English) LIVERPOOL GOALKEEPER, ALISSON BECKER, ON TEAM'S RECENT ABILITY TO PLAY POORLY YET STILL WIN, SAYING:

"Sometimes it's needed, you can't play all the matches - 60 matches a year - in the same way. Sometimes you need a little bit of luck, and luck comes with hard work, comes together. I believe in that, and we are doing our hard-work, so sometimes we (can) win the games without playing the best football, but we need to have the full desire, the full passion always in the game so sometimes you can make it happen but this can't be a routine. We try to play a good game, and play better and better and better, to keep improving, and this will be what we'll try to do in the next games."

STORY: Liverpool coach Juergen Klopp praised his team for reacting in a positive way and netting two wins in the past week following a relatively rough spell which saw them thrashed 7-2 at the hands of Aston Villa and an injury time winner chalked off against league leaders and cross-city rivals Everton.

At a news conference on Monday (October 26), Klopp said it wasn't the 'best week of our lives' but praised his team for bouncing back to secure back to back wins against Ajax in the Champions League and Sheffield United in the Premier League.

The German tactician said the squad's three injury concerns are likely to be out for the Champions League midweek clash against Danish side Midjtjylland.

The Danish side, who lost 4-0 at home to freescoring Italians Atalanta in their opening group match, sit second in their league campaign, behind Sonderjyske on goal difference.

Klopp said his side were wary of being complacent against the Danes, saying the team needs to bring the right attitude to the game at Anfield.

Liverpool's Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker admitted the team have been riding their luck a little in recent games, but said luck can only come with hard work, desire and passion.
