Lives lost to the Autauga tornado

The tornado that ripped through Autauga County on Jan. 12 killed seven people, and demolished homes and businesses. Learn more about the seven who died that day:

Robert Gardner Jr., better known as Bob, was the father of three girls. At 70, Gardner enjoyed riding motorcycles and showing and riding horses. As a young man, he was a western model and the face of Black Stallion Whiskey. Later he became known for his construction work. Gardner was born Aug. 22, 1952, to Betty Davis Gardner and the late Robert H. Gardner Sr., according to his obituary. He shared a residence with Deanna Marie Corbin, who also died in the storm.

Deanna Marie Corbin: Deanna Marie Corbin, 59, attended Stanhope Elmore High School and was from Savannah, Georgia. She shared a residence with Robert Gardner Jr. She was also related to Christopher Allen Corbin Jr. and Tessa Celeste Desmet.

Christopher Allen Corbin Jr.: Christopher Allen Corbin Jr., 46, was from Millbrook and attended Stanhope Elmore High School, according to his Facebook page. Corbin shared a residence with Tessa Celeste Desmet and was related to Robert Gardner Jr. and Deanna Marie Corbin.

Tessa Celeste Desmet: Tessa Celeste Desmet, 21, was from Billingsley and attended Billingsley High School. She shared a residence with Christopher Allen Corbin Jr. and was related to Robert Gardner Jr. and Deanna Marie Corbin. Her favorite quote is "I'd rather be loved for who I am than loved for who I'm not," by Kurt Cobain, according to her Facebook page.

Carmen Cox Autrey: Carmen Cox Autrey, 59, was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a faithful Christian, according to her obituary. One of her favorite verses was Matthew 19:26 NIV, "Jesus looked at them and said, 'With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.'"

Andrea Sue Taylor: Andrea Sue Taylor, who was known as Sue, was a dedicated wife to David. Taylor, 61, was also a caring mother and grandmother, according to her obituary.

Solomon Antonio Smith: Solomon Antonio Smith, 50, was a loving husband. He is from Browntown and attended Billingsley High School, according to his Facebook page.
