HCA Adult Choir returns

This fall, join the Adult Choir with the Holmes County Center for the Arts.

Practices will run Aug. 25-Nov 10 on Thursdays from 7- 8:30 p.m. Cost is $55. Scholarships are available.

Timothy Frye will direct.

Frye graduated with a bachelor of music degree from Bowling Green State University and a music education and vocal master of music from the University of Arizona.

He has over 40 years of teaching, performing and conducting experience.

No prior experience is necessary to join.

Aultman Orrville to host free educational event

A panel of experts will share information about advance directives at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, during “A Conversation About Advance Directives: Who Will Make Medical Decisions When You Cannot?”

The free event will be held in person at the Aultman Orrville Hospital Community Room. Registration is required.The presentation will feature Dr. Jeffrey Marsh, medical director of Aultman Hospice and Palliative Care;Bonnie Burnside, MSW, LISW, APHSW-C, social services/education team leader for Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare; Valerie Waldorff, JD, RN, risk manager at Aultman Orrville Hospital; and Jody Shoup, MSW, LISW, care manager at Aultman Orrville Hospital.

The speakers will share insights into selecting a decision maker, along with guidance on important conversations to have with those asked to fulfill this role.
