LIVINGSTON PARISH, La. (BRPROUD) – An owl is free after being rescued by the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Jason Ard posted on social media that an owl was caught dangling from a tree about 15 feet over a river. It had some fishing line wrapped around its talons.
“Thanks to great teamwork between LPSO and WDLF, this rescue was successful and was able to be released to continue with its day,” Ard said.
No person or animal was injured during the rescue, the sheriff said.
