Local business donates truck to help Keep Tiger Town Beautiful

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Premier South Roofing gave a huge helping hand to Keep Tiger Town Beautiful by donating a truck.

R.J. McGimsey, owner of Premier South Roofing, donated their first van, offered new cleaning equipment, and has sponsored projects and helped drive donations. He enjoys giving back to the community, not only by making sure the city is kept clean but also by helping others.

“We saw that they were in need for another vehicle, so it was our time to give back again. As it was time to get a newer vehicle and trade this one in, we said, ‘Oh, might as well not trade and give it to a really needed cause,'” said McGimsey.

Founder of Keep Tiger Town Beautiful, Jennifer Richardson, has been deeply grateful for McGimsey’s work and donations. They greatly needed new equipment and transportation to meet volunteers’ needs. Without hesitation, McGimsey stepped in.

“He’s just spoiled us, and we love him, and I don’t know what we’d do without him. He’s made our job so easy it has been a game changer,” said Richardson.

She is still actively looking for more volunteers. If you would like to sign up to help Keep Tiger Town Beautiful, you can go keeptigertownbeautiful.com for information on how to volunteer or donate to the nonprofit.
